The elements of a standard podiatric medical history include:
- Details regarding the Presenting complaint
- Podiatric and medical history (including post podiatric treatment, full medical and mental health history)
- Medication history
- Surgical history
- Family history (including questions regarding dieseases or complaints that might have affected parents or other relatives
- Social and work history
- Allergy history
- Smoking history or consumption of alcohol
- Detailed history regarding current and past Footwear
The patients reporting of this information is often recorded as the SUBJECTIVE findings in the medical or podiatric history notes.
