What are the elements of a standard podiatric examination?

  1. Objective examination of presenting complaint
  2. Dermatological examination
  3. Orthopaedic/ musculoskeletal examination including gait
  4. Peripheral Vascular Examination
  5. Neurological Assessment
  6. Footwear Assessment
  7. Other findings e.g. Xray investigations

The results of the physical examination of the patient are recorded as the OBJECTIVE findings in the medical/podiatric history.
